How the stacking works

  • Every US federal holiday already hands you a long weekend. We add your PTO days right next to it to build the longest unbroken run of days off, best leverage first.
  • A Monday or Friday holiday plus four PTO days usually turns into nine days straight. A midweek holiday like Veterans Day can bridge two weekends at once.
  • Then we look at when each window lands and match it to a campground that peaks in that season for your region. High desert and red rock in spring and fall, alpine in summer, Southwest BLM in winter.
  • Holiday dates are computed from the federal rules and checked for 2026 and 2027, so the math is real, not a guess.
